Tell Your Story at Talent Connect 2024

If you are a great storyteller and have a great story, we hope you’ll consider sharing your gifts at Talent Connect 2024.

We’re looking for talent leaders who have tackled the big issues of the day and turned daunting challenges into expansive opportunities.

Talent Connect is LinkedIn’s annual gathering for talent professionals at which industry leaders come together to share insights, best practices, and success stories and to debate and shape the future of work.

The conference, which will take place the week of October 28, features both an in-person event for invited industry leaders and an online broadcast for members of the global talent and HR communities.

Speakers will lead breakout sessions where participants will grapple with the urgent issues facing talent leaders. Presentations can take the form of talks, panels, workshops, or fireside chats and can include one to four people. We’re also hoping to find speakers who shine on camera and can dazzle our global online audience of talent professionals. Finally, we are also looking for expert facilitators, who enjoy galvanizing a peer-driven conversation that carves out solutions to today’s most pressing challenges.

Speaking at the conference or facilitating a workshop is a proven way to elevate your personal brand. But you’ll also be elevating your professional community by sharing your hard-earned insights or workshopping a problem and catalyzing innovative tactics to address it.

You say you’ve got a terrific success story but aren’t sure whether it’s right for our event? Then maybe it would be helpful to dip into some of the top talks given at Talent Connect 2023:

Roz Francuz-Harris, vice president of talent acquisition at Zillow, wowed her audience with a talk, Revolutionizing Talent Acquisition: AI Meets Inclusivity and Authenticity, in which she detailed how AI can help recruiting leaders with everything from performance reviews to sourcing diverse talent. Roz also appeared in a Talent Connect Show segment called Attract for Today, Hire for Tomorrow.
Teddy Chestnut, the cofounder of BrightHire, shared interviewing best practices he has distilled from 350,000 interviews in a talk Building a Winning Hiring Process. Among Teddy’s tips? Nail the basics (show up on time, have an agenda, leave time for questions) and limit the number of interviews to four at most.
Ethan Mollick, an associate professor at The Wharton School, cited what generative AI is good for, what it’s not good for, and how it’s changing the world in a talk Powering AI to Empower Your Workforce. Ethan noted that at this early stage, “Nobody knows anything at all,” and encouraged the audience to jump in and play with emerging gen AI tools.
John Vlastelica, founder of Recruiting Toolbox, led two standing-room-only workshops entitled Working with Hiring Managers: How to Create a Culture of Recruiting Ownership. “Hiring is a team sport,” John noted before both sharing and soliciting ideas on how to get everyone invested in it.
